Step into the world of Karen Blixen, the celebrated author of Out of Africa, on a short Nairobi excursion. In 1913, Karen settled in the Ngong Hills with her husband, Baron Bror Blixen, to run a coffee farm. Although she left the farm in the 1930s, her experiences and her romance with Denys Finch Hatton inspired her famous memoir.
The Karen Blixen Museum is her restored farmhouse, maintained as it was in her time. Visitors can explore the rooms, gardens, and learn about her life, love for Africa, and her literary legacy. Walking through the museum, you’ll feel the charm of the Ngong Hills and gain a glimpse into early 20th-century Kenyan colonial life.
After your visit, your guide will drop you back at your hotel or residence.
