7 Days Amboseli – Manyara – Serengeti – Ngorongoro – Arusha/Nairobi

7 Days

Amboseli, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro represent four of East Africa’s most important wildlife ecosystems, each known for distinct landscapes and exceptional animal concentrations.

Amboseli National Park is best known for its free-roaming elephant populations and striking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park’s flat, open terrain and seasonal wetlands make wildlife easy to spot, while underground water from melting glaciers feeds permanent swamps that attract elephants, buffalo, hippos, and a wide range of bird species. Amboseli is widely regarded as one of Africa’s top destinations for close-range elephant photography.

Lake Manyara National Park is recognized for its ecological variety within a relatively small area. The soda lake at its center attracts flamingos and other waterbirds, while the surrounding forests and open plains support elephants, giraffes, baboons, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Dense groundwater forests near the lake create a cooler, greener environment that contrasts sharply with northern Tanzania’s open savannahs.

Serengeti National Park is defined by vast open plains and extraordinary wildlife density. It supports some of the largest populations of lions, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas in Africa. The park is globally famous for the Great Migration, involving millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope moving across the ecosystem. Beyond migration seasons, the Serengeti offers year-round predator action and classic savannah scenery.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is centered around the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas. The crater floor sustains a permanent population of wildlife due to its enclosed ecosystem and reliable water sources. It is one of the few places in Africa where all members of the Big Five can be seen in a single area, alongside dramatic geological formations and highland landscapes.
