6 Days

Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park are Uganda’s most iconic wildlife destinations, offering unparalleled safari and primate experiences.

Kibale National Park is renowned as the “Primate Capital of Africa”, home to over 1,450 chimpanzees and at least 13 other primate species, including red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black-and-white colobus, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Visitors enjoy guided chimpanzee tracking and forest walks, where they can also spot elusive forest elephants, duikers, and giant forest hogs. The park boasts over 370 bird species, including rare Albertine Rift endemics, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. Its lush tropical rainforest and crater lakes create a scenic backdrop for wildlife photography.

Queen Elizabeth National Park features savannah, wetlands, and crater lakes, supporting over 95 mammal species. Highlights include African elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, topi, waterbuck, oribi, and warthogs. The park is famous for tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha Sector, a rare and thrilling sight for safari enthusiasts. With more than 600 bird species, including raptors, waterbirds, and flamingos, Queen Elizabeth is a top birding and game drive destination in East Africa.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the last strongholds for the endangered mountain gorilla. Guided gorilla trekking offers a life-changing opportunity to observe these majestic primates in their natural rainforest habitat. Bwindi is also home to chimpanzees, numerous primates, and over 350 bird species, including rare Albertine Rift endemics. Its misty valleys, dense vegetation, and dramatic hills make it a perfect location for wildlife photography and eco-tourism.

Together, these parks provide a diverse safari experience — from primate tracking and birdwatching to big game sightings and unique wildlife behaviors — making them must-visit destinations for any Uganda wildlife adventure.
